Sri Sathya Sai Vocational Training Center is functioning since 2000. The main objectives of this center are:
- To develop relevant vocational skills and competence among the youth from rural area and villages to improve their quality of life.
- Build awareness about career and employment options for individual who face significant barriers to employment; and provide education, training and workplace so they may actively pursue these options.
- Provide free training in the fundamentals of computer courses.
Students are assessed for ability and interest in learning skills for life vocations at SSSRVTC. The areas of training are varied and dynamic and are sometimes introduced to suit the needs of particular students.
Besides the vocational training the curriculum also includes personality development, activities of daily living, anti addiction awareness.
In this SSSRVTC, two types of courses are run by trained faculties.
- Computer Class.(Certified Course)
- Tailoring Class.
This center located in main city area in about 2700 square feet. The students from navsari and dang district are taking benefit of this training center. Most of the students are coming from nearby villages and SSSVIP village.
- Computer Class
Two types of courses are covered in computer, Basic Computer Training & Tally accounting Program. Daily 5 batches for all these courses. The duration for these courses are of three months. After successfully completion of the above courses, Samithi is also providing Certificate to each student.
Till December 2016 total 3367 students have taken benefit of this computer taring class.
- Tailoring Class
In Tailoring Class, women are taking benefit of for designing, Stitching and cutting related training. There are 2 batches per day and duration of this course is of 6 months. After successfully completion of the above courses, Samithi is also providing Certificate to each student.
Till December 2016 total 3367 students have taken benefit of this training class.. Samithi also provide the Tailoring machines to needy women as per their requirements.
Sri Sathya Sai Rural Vocational Training Centre, Gandeva.
This SSSRVTC was inaugurated by Sri. H. Srinivasulu (All India Tech Group Coordinator, SSSSO – India) on 16th December 2012. The training on “Value Addition” of local agriculture products like fruits and vegetables to the needy women of the adopted village is preliminary motto of this training centre. A new batch of 30 women from adopted village of Navsari is going to start taking training which will be continued henceforth. The skilled and trained staff in value addition of agriculture products like : Mango, Guava, Tomato, Lemon, Eggplant, Lady Finger etc are providing training in this centre. Now after getting training women of adopted village are capable to prepare the finished products at their home as well as group too. After selling these products in market, women’s economic status has improved and their self confidence has also raised after this training. These women are also trained about the statistic of buying raw material, marketing techniques and money saving skills.
Sri Manoharbhai Trikkanad, The State President of SSSSO – Gujarat, inaugurated a new batch of this center on 8th April, 2018.
A documentary on this “SSSRVTC-Gandeva, Dist Navsari-Gujarat” is released on the day of new batch inauguration by Hon. State President SSSSO, Gujarat.
