With the Divine Blessings of our beloved BHAGWAN, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation – Gujarat celebrated the auspicious occasion of Gurupurnima on 16th August 2019, Tuesday at different Samiti level. Here is the brief report of all the Samitis of Gujarat state.

Ahmedabad Samiti:

Brief details of celebration:

  • Nagar-sankirtan – 37 devotees including 16 mahilas attended it in the morning.
  • After that Sai Pooja and Abhishekam was performed at Gokuldham centre.
  • Narayanseva – 2 mahila seva dals prepared fresh food and 4 purush seva dals  distributed it to about 200 Narayans at  slum area, opp Satellite fire station.
  • Evening vedham chanting and festival bhajan session had an attendance of  160 devotees including 70 mahila devotees. Aarati was performed at 8.30 pm and prasad was distributed to all devotees.

Bharuch Samiti:

  • Bharuch district celebrated Gurupurnima with Nagarsankirtan and Bhajans.
  • Nagar-Sankirtan had a total attendance of 15 devotees, of which 8 were male devotees and 7 were female devotees.
  • In the Bhajan, Total attendees were 52, out of which 25 were male devotees and 27 were female devotees.

Rajkot Samiti:

  • Rajkot Samiti celebrated Gurupurnima starting with Nagar-Sankirtan in morning followed by Paduka Poojan.
  • Mahanarayan seva was done at SSSVIP village VANKVAD. The packet included raw khichadi, sugar, tea, biscuits, farsan, & sweets. 165 packets were distributed. 11 male sevadal and 9 female sevadal were part of this Seva.
  • At the Vankvad primary school 140 Chocolates & 27 School Bags were distributed.
  • Medical camp was also arranged where around 57 patients were examined and given medicines.
  • The Rajkot Samiti organised Bhajans in the evening time from 6pm to 7:30pm, followed by Mangal Aarthi.

 

Surat Samiti:

  • Surat Samiti celebrated Gurupurnima at Sri Sathya Sai Seva Sankul, Althan, Surat from 8 am to 9:30 am.
  • Programme started with chanting of 3 Omkara, Sai Gayatri mantras, recitation of Swamy’s 1008 names with Paduka poojan and offering Akshat at Divine Lotus Feet.
  • Followed by Paduka’s 108 names poojan. Then, Aarti was offered to Swami and Prasadam was distributed to everyone. Total of 65 devotees out of which 32 were male devotees & 33 were female devotees who participated in this event.

Navsari Samiti:

  • Navsari Samiti celebrated Gurupurnima with nagarsankirtan at 05:00 AM. Total of 28 devotees participated of which 19 were male devotees and 9 were female devotees.
  • Followed by Astottar Sahashra Naama Smaran from 6:45am to 9am. Total of 92 devotees who attended the program of which 40 were female devotees and 52 were male devotees.

Gandhinagar Samiti:

  • Gandhinagar and Kalol Samiti celebrated Gurupurnima with paduka pujan and Bhajans. There were 18 participants in total of which 10 were Female devotees and 8 were male devotees.
